GALVIN, James L. Jr. Of Needham, October 26, 2013, age 89. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor M. (McGauley) Galvin.
Devoted father of James L. "Jay" Galvin III and his wife Marianne "Jill" of Westwood, Loving grandfather of Jacqueline Medeiros and her husband Jared of Bristol, R.I., Brittany Galvin of New York, James L. Galvin IV of Westwood. Also survived by his nephew Gregory McGauley and his wife Patti and family of Newton, Walter McGauley and his wife Nora and family of Newton.
Jim was a retired Manufacturer's Representative. A Graduate of BC High School Class of 1942 and Boston College Class of 1949. Past President of the Newton Kiwanis Club, member of the Needham Knights of Columbus, #1611, long time Parishoner and Usher at St. Bartholomew Church, WW II Army Veteran.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty and Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Thursday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
