Doris Irene Harper Deen, age 92, of Broxton, GA passed away at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Deen was born December 13, 1920 in Broxton, GA to the late Grady Harrell and Mary Rish Harrell.
Survivors include: two sons: Woodrow "Buddy (Rita) Deen of Broxton, GA; and Jackie (Modena) Deen of Douglas, GA; one daughter: Mary Jo (Norman) Fussell of Douglas, GA; Nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one sister: Nola Harper of Broxton, GA; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton E. Deen.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Congregational Christian Church in Douglas with interment to follow at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery.Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
