New Bedford - Joseph Medeiros Jr., 82. Died Wednesday, September 22, 2004. at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River Ma. Mr. Medeiros was the husband of Laura (Gouveia) Medeiros. He was the father of Theresa M. wife of Robert A. Costa of New Bedford and father of the late Joseph A. Medeiros. He was the grandfather of Joseph A. and his wife Lori Costa and Robert A. Costa the fiancée of Lisa Smith . He was the brother of the late Antone and Joseph Medeiros. Two greatgranddaughters Kiara And Shelby Costa, a greatgrandson Dakota Costa and a step greatgrandson Christopher Smith.
Mr. Medeiros lived in this area all of his life. He was the son of the late Joseph and Deolinda (Torres) Medeiros. He worked as office clerk at Frades Disposal and as a presser at Calvin Clothing.
His funeral Mass is on Friday, September 24, 2004 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 7:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 23, 2004 from 6 - 9 P.M. only, at the funeral home.
