Emma “Peggy” (Thompson) Towle, 87, of Londonderry, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Plainfield, NJ, a daughter of the late Frederick and Freda (Heinz) Thompson. Mrs. Towle was a member of the Bethany Bible Chapel in Winchendon, MA prior to moving to New Hampshire to be closer to her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Brown of Londonderry, one son, Vernon D. Towle of Ball Ground, GA, four grandchildren, Jesse Stahley, Jessica Day, Heidi Osaer, and Rachael Brown, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Virginia Nesbitt of Lancaster, CA. She was predeceased by her husband Laurence C. Towle in 1996 and by one son, Clark D. Towle.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Graveside services were held at 1:00pm in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ellis Road, Westminster, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Bible Chapel, 727 Spring Street; Winchendon, MA 01475.
