Wesley Finley Harris:
September 15, 1941 – October 23, 2013
Wesley Finley Harris, passed away at Baptist Medical Center Nassau on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family and friends.
Wesley was preceded in death by his father Robert Harris, mother Cola Taylor Harris, older brother Bobby Harris, and his younger brother Jimmy Harris. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his four daughters (Angel Scarborough and husband Mike Scarborough; Ginger Harris and partner Karma Edwards; Cola Harris; Beth Harris), two sisters (Betty Sue Boyd and husband James Boyd; Barbara Harris Zeigler and husband Mike Zeigler), along with eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his long time friend James “Round Boy” Ennis (and wife Betty Ennis).
Wesley was born in Alma, Georgia on September 15, 1941, and became a lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach and Yulee, Florida. He worked for 30 years with the Amelia Island Mosquito Control. Wesley spent his latter years enjoying time with his daughters, grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
The family and close friends of Wesley will engage in private ceremonies.
