The son of Patrick and Mary Driscoll, Tom was born and educated in the North Andover school system. He attended Merrimac Grammar School and Johnson High School, class of 1949. After graduating he worked at Stevens Mill and was a member of the National Guard until joining the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. After retiring, he worked at The American Training for two years. He then went to work for Meals on Wheels for a short time. Upon leaving there he worked for the next ten years as a starter/ranger at Far Corners Golf course.

In his younger years, he loved playing hockey and was one of the fathers who coached and was a referee in the North Andover Youth Hockey league that started in the 1970's. He enjoyed the game of golf and until a few years ago he would go out once or twice a week. He was also a proud member of the PGA Hole in One Club. His favorite time of all was family holidays, especially Christmas day when his children and grandchildren would gather together for dinner.

Thomas is a Past Exalted Ruler and life member of the Lawrence Lodge of Elks. He served the Lodge as Exalted Ruler in 1986 and in the year 2000 he was elected District Deputy of the Massachusetts North District. After serving on many lodge and state committees he retired from lodge work after 41 years of service.

Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (Dignam) Driscoll, a son: Thomas F. and his wife Keryl (Jones) Driscoll, daughters: Mariann Driscoll and her husband Thomas E.
