Mrs. Theresa D. (Fortier) Hannigan, a resident of Derry, New Hampshire and formerly of Revere, died at the Bedford Hills Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, New Hampshire on Tuesday morning, October 22, 2013. Theresa was the beloved wife of the late George H. Hannigan Jr. She was 83 years old.
Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on January 22, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Willrose and Bertilda (Vanasse) Fortier. Mrs. Hannigan was a former communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Chelsea, MA for over 35 years where she ran many bizarres. She was a homemaker who enjoyed teaching ceramics at her home in Revere in addition to many other hobbies including creating wedding cakes for her family and close friends.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law; Patricia “Patti” and her husband Anthony Puccilli of Derry, New Hampshire, five grandchildren; Danielle and Andrew Puccilli, George H., IV and his wife Tiffani Hannigan of Manchester NH, Melanie of Clearwater, FL and Robyn Hannigan of Wallingford, CT, four great-grandchildren; Joseph, Kenneth, Christopher and George Hannigan, V and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late George H. Hannigan, III of Derry, NH.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach Street, Revere, on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 5 to 9 PM. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
