John C. “Hopper” Hanson, Jr., 56, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Norton Hospital. Born in Chicago he did office work for Health Care Partners before he got sick, and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Melissa Rae (Keown) Hanson; two sons, Mark Keown and Joseph Russell; two sisters, Diane Quaiver (Tim), Sharon Hanson and brother, Keith Hanson. His funeral mass will be Saturday 11 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr. with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm to 8 pm Thursday and 1pm to 8 pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
