Obituary

Stanley F. Focht, 70, of Londonderry, formerly of Rochester, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, after a valiant two month fight. He was born January 30, 1943 in Reading, PA and was the son of the late Stanley F., Sr. and Ethel M. (Angstadt) Focht. After graduating from Reading High School in 1960, he left for the Air force, serving 4 years, most of which was at Pease A.F.B. in Portsmouth. Here he met and married Jo Ann Boudreau on December 1, 1962. They settled in Rochester, where they resided prior to relocating to the Nevins Community of Londonderry, in 2004.

Stanley was employed as a lineman with PSNH for over 40 years, prior to his retirement. He was a 30 year member of the Masonic Humane Lodge #21 of Rochester, where he served 2 years as Worshipful Master. He was also awarded the General Sullivan award, of which he was very proud. Stanley also served as a police officer in Rochester during the 1960’s, as a special officer with the NH State Police, and was currently volunteering with the Londonderry Police Department.

Members of the family include his wife of 51 years, a daughter and her husband, Diana and Larry Kellogg of Londonderry, a son and his wife, Stephen and Diana Focht of Manchester, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his sister Lillie Kellenberger.

After cremation, a Memorial Reception was held Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, and will conclude with a Masonic Service. A Committal of his cremated remains, was held Friday, October 25, at 11:30 am, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
