Mary Alice Queiros, 84 years old, died of heart failure on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Trinity Memorial Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida.
Born on May 31, 1929 in Framingham, she lived in Natick and worked as an Art Teacher with the Natick Public Schools. She moved to Florida in 1995 to continue her passion of art in the City of Brooksville.
Mary Alice was involved in many organizations; The Fine Arts Council, The Historical Society, The Mural Society, Emergency Management & The American Red Cross. She initiated the Art Gallery at City Hall where her own works were displayed. She oversaw the murals on the walls of businesses that line the streets in Brooksville & in 2005 was awarded the title of Great Brooksvillian for all her contributions.
She is survived by her children Joseph Martins of Portland, ME, Fernando Martins of Winchendon, Robert Queiros of Holden & Amy Diaz of New Port Richey, Fl.
Mary's Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, November 2nd @ 2:00PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.
