Bobby R. Hoppes
Nov. 13, 1928 to Oct. 18, 2013

Bobby R. Hoppes, 84, of Anderson died October 18, 2013 after a brief illness.

He was the son of Marvin and Opal (Love) Hoppes of Summitville. He lived in Summitville until he married the love of his life, Frances (McKeand) Hoppes, October 17, 1969.

He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from Delco Remy after 33 1/3 years of service and was a member of U.A.W. Local 662. He was also a member of the American Legion and Eagles Lodge in Alexandria. He was an avid golfer and Colts fan.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, four children, Janice (Chuck) Riddle; Rick (Susie) Biven; Karen (Steve) Gray and Cindy Biven; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Glen (Mary) Hoppes; two sisters, Donna (Dick) Maynard; Carolynn Hensley and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jake and his sister, Dorothy Corn.

Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 24 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Freeman of First Baptist Church, Daleville officiating. Visitation Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial is in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Military graveside rites provided.
