Deolinda (Costa) Pontiff, age 91, passed away on October 14, 2013. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Pontiff Jr., and the daughter of the late Antonio R. and Mary (Medeiros) Costa. Deolinda was a seamstress for the Fall River Mills, a volunteer at the senior center and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, and playing bingo.
Deolinda was the mother of Geraldine Vieira, grandmother of Shawn, Kevin and Scott Vieira, great grandmother of Leanne, Cameron, Alexandria, and Jessica Vieira, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Irene Rapoza, Jeffrey Costa, and Hilda Silvia.
Following cremation, family and friends are invited to attend Deolinda’s memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 26th at 9:00 A.M. in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
