Obituary

Francois-Nil Lucien “Frank” Gauthier, 84, of Manchester died October 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family following a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on March 23, 1929, he was the son of Alfred and Marianna (Dallaire) Gauthier. He was raised in Canada and returned to serve 4 years in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, Frank had been employed by Anheuser Busch in Merrimack for many years.
He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who found many ways to support others in his community. He was a longtime member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (now Sacred Heart Church Food Pantry), the League of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood, the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post 2, and had also volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister altar server for Sacred Heart Parish. He enjoyed playing hockey and was an avid fan of the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots.
Family members include his wife of 48 years, Priscilla (Lambert) Gauthier of Manchester; his daughters, Rose-Marie Gauthier of Manchester, Janine Dumeny and husband Scott of Washington, NH, Marguerite “Maggie” Cassin and husband Stephen of Manchester; four grandchildren, Kristin and Brianna Dumeny, Jacob and Samuel Cassin; two sisters, Rita Pinard and husband Marcel, Lise Guillemette and husband Richard, all of Manchester; his in-laws, Lorraine Lambert of Concord, NH, Lorraine Cresswell of Manchester, Joanne Zevos and husband Aristotle “Telly” of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Sacred Heart Church,223 South Main St. Committal prayers with military burial honors followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
