Obituary

- William J. Kordalski, 92, passed away on October 20, 2013 in the Chelsea Soldier’s Home. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Weinburg) Kordalski.
Born in Salem on April 10, 1921, he was the son of the late John and Anila (Golack) Kordalski. William was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1939. William and his wife resided in Danvers for 37 years. He served our county with the United States Army for over 20 years of service and was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Upon retiring from the Army he was employed as a certified operating room scrub technician for 25 years at Beverly Hospital. William was an avid golfer. He also travelled extensively all over Europe, Japan and Mexico.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, David, Paul and June Kordalski, Robert and Carol Kordalski McGinty, William, Peter and David Whalley and Roberta Whalley Harney and dear friends Earlene Vetere and William Cooper. He was predeceased by his siblings, Chester, Henry, Thaddeus (Bill), Stanley (Stash), Florence and Irene Kordalski and Genevieve Whalley
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in St. Richard Parish, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
