Alberta Williams, 83, of Worcester died Monday, October 14th in Parsons Hill Nursing Home. She is predeceased by her husband, James E. Williams, Sr. She leaves two sons, James E. Williams, Jr. and George C. Williams both of Worcester; two daughters, Angela F. Williams of Worcester and Paula Vaughn of Boston; two grandchildren, Catrina Faith Williams and Colby Phalen Williams and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James Kemp, Jr. and a sister, Ruth Johnson.
She was born in Edgefield, SC the daughter of Dozier and Mary (Wallace) Johnson. Alberta was a member of John St. Baptist Church and worked as a nurse’s aide for many years.
Mrs. Williams was a foster mother and foster parent trainer for 45 years. Alberta was loved by thousands of children and families whom she cared for with a loving and sincere commitment to their quality of life. God Bless her.
Her funeral is Monday, October 21st at 2:30 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in All Faith’s Cemetery, 7 Island Road. Calling hours are Sunday, October 20th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
