Una Jean (deCourcy) Quigley, age 90, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Una was the wife of the late Edward R. Quigley and is survived by her 2 sons, Paul Quigley and his wife Mary Ellen of Abington and Peter Quigley and his wife Janine of Bridgewater, her 7 grandchildren, Scott, Michelle, Steven Jr., Michael, Shawn, Katie and Tom Quigley, her 6 great grand children, her former daughter in law, Laura Banner and was the Sister-in-law of Frank and Gen Quigley of Needham. She is predeceased by 1 son, Steven Quigley, her parents, Percy and Margaret deCourcy and her brothers and sisters, Jack, Bill, Nancy, Roger and Bobby.
Una was born in South Weymouth where she lived for 66 years before moving to Kingston for 10 years. She spent summers at Peter’s Pond Park and winters in Fort Meyers Beach, FL.
Una worked at the Hingham Shipyard and the Herald Traveler where she met her husband.
She was devoted to her family and loved camping and beaches.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, October 21 at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 236 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4to7 PM. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in S. Weymouth.
