Obituary

Cornelius “Connie” James Murphy, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2013.
Connie was born in Boston, MA, spent most of his life living in Natick, MA, and in his late years, took residency with his Son, Steven, in Methuen, MA until his passing. If asked, he would say he staked his claim to Natick though, with much of his family referring to him as “Uncle or Grandpa Natick.”
He worked for thirty years at the Continental Baking Company “Wonder Bread” in Natick.
Connie is a World War II veteran who served his time as a Sgt. for the US Army. He was a very knowledgeable individual who often was found buried in a book , or passing on “fun facts” to all he encountered. He had an uncanny ability to plan ahead, and always made sure his loved ones were cared for.
Connie will be sadly missed by many. He is survived by his sons, Steven L. Murphy of Methuen MA, and Neil Murphy of Manchester, NH, his daughter-in-law, Trina Murphy, granddaughters, Shannon, Danielle, Amanda, and Naomi Murphy, as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents Ellen and Eugene Murphy of County Cork, Ireland, his 6 brothers and sisters, and his grandson, Steven L. Murphy Jr., who he had a particularly strong bond with, predeceased Connie.
