DOROTHY MAGDALINE YADEN, 95, the former Dorothy Rietl, daughter of John Joseph Rietl and Margaret Esterle, passed away October 14, 2013 at home.
During her life she worked at Brown Williamson, Loevenharts and St. Basil Cafeteria. She was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Huston Q. Yaden, Sr., also her three sisters, Mildred McDermott, Margaret Lambert and Lorene Marsolek and granddaughter, Lisa Yaden.
She is survived by sons, John Yaden (Marilyn), Gerald Yaden (Connie), Thomas Yaden (Barbara), Robert Yaden (Susan) and William Yaden (Gale); daughter Mary Brabandt (Richard); 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, caring friends, and neighbors, including her two wonderful caregivers Joyce and Joni.
As the treasured matriarch of our family, passionate fulltime homemaker, and loving Mother she will be truly missed.
Her funeral will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at Mary Queen of Peace (St. Denis Campus) on Cane Run Road. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
