Mary Ruth (Jones) Garrett, 90, of Anderson died October 15, 2013 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky, March 28, 1923 to Thomas Cleveland and Genie (Coffey) Jones.
She worked production 32 years at Delco Remy before retiring in 1979.
She attended Chesterfield Community Church of God. As a hobby, she enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Survivors include her husband, Wilburn C. Garrett, whom she married December 15, 1945; two sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Samantha Garrett of Muncie and Larry and Cindy Garrett of Anderson; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister.
Service will be 10:30 A.M. on Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Brother James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 3 PM until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Community Church of God.
