Anibal D. Almeida, age 96 of Fall River, passed away Oct. 14, 2013. He was the husband of the late Amelia (Ricardo) Almeida. Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, A?ores, he was the son of the late Antonio & Maria (Maroca) Almeida. Prior to retiring, Anibal worked for Independent Nail Co. of Bridgewater as a machine operator. He was also a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
He is survived by his children: Anibal Affonse Almeida & Antonio Almeida both of FL, George Almeida of Somerset, Amanda Pacheco, Isabel Silva, and Humberta Pontes all of Fall River, Adriana DeMedeiros of Somerset; sister: Dina Lopes of Providence; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Adriana deJesus Almeida and several siblings.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
