Mrs. Estelle A. (Marcotte) Dary, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Monday, October 14 in Morton Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry H. Dary. She was born 81 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Clothilda (Arguin) Marcotte. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Estelle was a self-employed hairdresser. She was previously employed at Mr. Gill’s Salon in Taunton. She was formerly employed as a waitress at several area restaurants and also worked at the former Paul A. Dever State School. She was a member of the Oakland Senior Citizens Club, the A.A.R.P., and the St. Jude the Apostle Womens Guild. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, needlepoint, music and playing the piano, playing cribbage with her friends, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 2 sons: Mark Dary of Taunton, and Robert Dary and his wife, Mary-Joan of Taunton; 2 grandsons: Jeffrey Dary of Quincy and Keith Dary of Taunton; a dear friend:
Doris Dooley of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Estelle was also the sister of the late Lawrence Marcotte, Florence Marcotte, Exilia Harnois, Loretta Almeida, Gertrude Wapenski, Irene Ouillette and Rita Lavigne.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, October 19 at 8:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be in Plain Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
