Obituary

Jack "J.J." Waldron, 51, of Derry, NH, died Sunday October 13, 2013 in his home. He was born in Alexandria, VA on September 19, 1962, a son of Jack L. and Martha (Derby) Waldron. “J.J.” had been a resident of Derry for the past nine years, formerly living in Gloucester, MA, having grown up in Virginia. He was a US Air Force veteran serving from May 11, 1984 to January 14, 1988. “J.J.” was employed as a repairman for the MBTA and had previously been employed for United Airlines for 17 years. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, enjoyed Pink Floyd, and launching model rockets with his sons. He loved to barbecue and the family referred to him as the "Grill Master". “J.J.” will also be missed by his dog Diesel.
In addition to his parents of Calabash, SC; he is survived by his wife Michelle (Lamora) Waldron of Derry; two sons, Jack T. Waldron and Patrick A. Waldron both of Derry; one brother, Chris Waldron of Maine; and his cousin Scott. He was predeceased by a sister, Jacqueline Waldron.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Saturday, October 19th from 1 - 3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Memorial services followed on Saturday at 3:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
