Rosa M. Husted, 91, of Ty Ty died Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church in Tifton. Father Justin Ferguson will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Husted was born on May 12, 1922 in David, Republic of Panama and was the daughter of Manuel Alvarez and Emma Ponce Alvarez, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Husted, Sr.; one son, Donald Robert Husted; and one sister, Angela Burge. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Divine Savior Catholic Church in Tifton. She loved the ballet; loved to go to the theatre to see plays; loved music and loved to dance. She was a seamstress, making miniature clothing, along with clothes and other items for her family.
Mrs. Husted is survived by one son, Louis C. Husted, Jr. of Merritt Island, Florida; three daughters, Mary Jane Gephart of Ty Ty, Sandra Cusumano of Ty Ty and Linda Dahlstrom-Talley of Vicenza, Italy; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
