Mary V. Lombard, 89, of Medway, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Brighton on December 8, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Louis G. and Eleanor (Grealy) Lombard.
Miss Lombard was a resident of Medway for most of her life and graduated from Medway High School in 1941.
Before her retirement, she worked in advertising for many years at area newspapers, as well as at Denison Manufacturing in Framingham and also at a company in Michigan.
Miss Lombard was a very active parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Medway where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a Eucharistic Minister. She was also an active member of the Vision of Peace at Fatima Shrine in Holliston during the 1970’s and was inducted into the Marian Community of Betania II in 2011.
She is survived by her sister Amelia C. Lombard and her brother Joseph P. Lombard, both of Medway and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Cecelia Barner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, October 18 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m.
