Obituary

Joseph J. Lambert, 69. A 20-year resident of Marshfield, Joseph succumbed on October 11, 2013 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. Beloved husband of Yana (Bragg) Lambert. Loving father of Astar Lambert of Los Angeles. Dear brother of the late Marion Sullivan, Charles Lambert of NY, Florence (Chickie) Gender of NY, the late Hazel Kimmerling, and brother-in law of Jo-Ann Bragg of Quincy. Beloved uncle of Jeff, Kathy, Marisa, Matthew and Bryan Mazzoni of NY; Charles, Venus, Brittany and Courtney Lambert of NJ; Tracey, Tony, Amanda, Anthony and Rachel Vosilla of NY; Debra and Herb Sylvester of FL; Pam and Karl Gulder of NM; Ellen Ramirez of AZ; Steven, Drew and Sarah Gender of NY; Michelle and Evan Painter and Matt Driscoll of Weymouth; Lisa and John McLoughlin, Michael Mastrocola and Jonathan Bragg of Quincy. From Army Preventive Medicine Specialist saving lives in Vietnam from 1965-1967, to his career as a truly dedicated public servant culminating at Mass DEP as a Regional Planner from 1993-2009, to his service to the Town of Marshfield on its Board of Health and Board of Public Works from 2000-2006 -- Joseph’s lifetime of good deeds and his generous, nurturing, and vibrant spirit will preserve his memory forever. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, October 16 from 4 to 8 pm. With a memorial service at 7 pm. anyone who would like to speak is welcome. Private burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
