Gloria A. Tarrant, 60, of Highlandsprings, VA died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at her son’s home in Nashua, NH. Mrs. Tarrant was born in Detroit, MI on March 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Christine (Cadiero) Contarino. She was raised in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Lowell High School while living in Lowell, MA. She had later lived in Derry, NH for several years. Mrs. Tarrant was employed as a supervisor for CVS Pharmacy in Richmond, VA.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph J. Evans and his wife Angela of Nashua, Jeff Evans and John M. Tarrant, Jr., both of Highlandsprings, VA, one daughter, Christine Wacome of Highlandsprings, VA, her mother and stepfather, Christine and Clifford Soucie of Mechanicsville, VA, nine grandchildren, four brothers, Joseph Contarino of California, Larry Contarino of Derry, James Contarino of Florida, Stephen Contarino of Lawrence, MA, one sister, Ann Marie Durr of Mechanicsville, VA, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 21st at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Friends may call on Monday from 5 - 8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Rd., Milford, NH 03055.
