David Carl Johnson,87,of Middletown, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on March 1, 1926 in Anderson, IN to Orvel Johnson and Hazel (Shoemaker) Johnson
He was employed by Delco Remy as a Truck Driver and retired in 1984
He enjoyed riding on the tractor in his back yard and loved walking through the woods. He was an Army veteran, serving in WW II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Johnson, two step-daughters, Rebecca Erskine and Kathy (John) Sparks. Grandchildren, Marissa Johnson, Ian Keesling, Jason Keesling, Wendy Anderson, Lisa Tyler, Sandy Jones, and several others. David was also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Kenny Johnson, and stepdaughter Cindy Whitsel
Services will be on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral service at 1:00 PM Visitation will be an hour prior at the funeral home
Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
