Vincent J. Diorio, Jr. of Saugus died Wednesday at Radius Health Care, Danvers. He was 84.
Vincent was born and raised in Chelsea, the son of the late Vincent and Ella (DiSisto) Diorio. He served in Korea during the Korean War with the Marine Corps. After the war he was a Project Technician at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the magnetic laboratory, participating in government research projects as well as other scholarly research. A Medford resident for many years, Vincent also lived in Revere and Malden.
The beloved husband of the late Ann (Belcastro), he leaves his devoted son Vincent J. Diorio, III and his wife Robin of Saugus and his daughter Nancy Sicari. Vincent was a loving grandfather to Leah and Thomas Diorio of Saugus and Gregory, Jimmy and Anthony Sicari. Vincent was the brother of Edward Diorio, Kathy Greenough and the late Joseph, Frank and Robert Diorio.
Relatives and friends may visit Monday from 4 - 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford and again on Tuesday October 15th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass offered in the 10 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, Pleasant St., Malden. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
