Ruth A. Angelo, age 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday October 4, 2013. Ruth was the wife of the late Francis G. Angelo and is survived by 4 children, Marjorie C. Angelo of Pembroke, MA, Francis G. Angelo Jr. of E. Bridgewater, MA and his wife Nancy, Patrick G. Angelo and Brian M. Angelo. She was also a very proud Grandmother of 6 grandchildren, Adam P. Angelo of Hingham, MA, Katrina N. Angelo of E. Bridgewater, MA, Nick F. Angelo of E. Bridgewater, MA, Kyle P. Angelo of Braintree, John W. Wadsworth of Marshfield, MA and Nicole E. Wadsworth of Abington, MA.
Ruth was born in Cambridge, MA in 1931, she married Francis in 1954, they moved to South Weymouth, MA in 1961 where they lived until 2005.
Ruth helped her husband Francis operate the family business Angelo’s Home Appliance until they both retired in 1998. While working she also served as a loving, committed and supportive wife, mother and Grandmother. She had a passion for all animals and loved her Golden Retriever “Coco” whom passed away just a few months ago. She was also very active in her earlier years with special needs children and taught special needs swim lessons at the MDC pool in South Weymouth.
Visiting hours will be held at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA on Monday October 14 from 4-8 pm and a funeral service at C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home on Tuesday October 15 at 11:00 am followed by Interment at Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 2:00PM.
