Dimitrios “James” Voyiatzis, 47, died Wednesday, October 9th at home with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his parents, Jordanis and Eleni (Papadopoulos) Voyiatzis; two brothers, Simon Voyiatzis of Paxton and Arthur Voyiatzis of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Hrisohorafa, Greece. Jim and his family owned and operated many pizza shops in the Worcester and later AJ’s Pizzeria in West Boylston which he operated for many years along with his family. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and enjoyed deep sea fishing. James will be greatly by missed by his family, extended family and friends. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Anthony DePasquale for the excellent care, comfort and support provided to James over the past two years.
His funeral is Saturday, October 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, October 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
