Obituary

Worcester—Ralph Assadourian, 77, of Worcester, died Thursday, September 16, 2004, at Saint Vincent Hospital, where he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Angele (Arakelian) Assadourian; a son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Jill Assadourian of Worcester; a daughter and son-in-law, Claudine and Michael O’Hara of Worcester; a brother, Albert Assadourian of Henderson, NV; 3 sisters, Angele Chakarian of Worcester, Louise Krikorian of Libertyville, IL, and Rose Garabedian of Biver, France; 5 grandchildren, Adam and Stephanie Assadourian, and Katelyn, Nicholas, and Grace O’Hara, all of Worcester.

Ralph was born in Biver, France, son of Malkon and Mariam (Yeryaian) Assadourian. He was a coal-miner in Biver for 10 years before coming to Worcester 50 years ago. Ralph was a self-employed hairstylist, and he loved gardening, petanque, and crossword puzzles.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 20th from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester with a service at 11:00 a.m., at Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
