Alice (Carvalho) D’Arcangelo, age 95 passed away Oct. 7, 2013. Born in Fall River, she resided in Warren, RI for over 30 years before returning to Fall River. She was the widow of John D’Arcangelo and daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Cordeiro) Carvalho. She was a retired seamstress having worked at Nancy Dress Co. and a member of Espirito Santo Parish. Alice was an extraordinary seamstress who loved music, dancing and frequent trips to FL.
She was the mother of Dennis Margarida of Fall River and Jean Levesque (husband Jeff Silva) of Tiverton; Sister of Antone Carvalho of NJ, Delores Farias of Swansea and the late Irene Medeiros, Mary Alves, Laura Martins, David, John, Ernest, Joseph, Herman and Arthur Carvalho. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alice was the longtime companion of Diamond Alves of Warren.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Alexander Cemetery, Warren, RI.
