Obituary

SPENCER: Lucille A. (Gagne) Wloch, 88, of South Spencer Road died Friday, Oct. 4 in the Meadows of Leicester surrounded by her family after an illness.

Her beloved husband of 61 years, Louis A. Wloch, Sr. died in 2005. She leaves a son Louis A. Wloch, Jr. and his wife Debbi of Sturbridge, a daughter Lucinda A. Guerin and her husband Paul of Yarmouth Port, two grandsons that she always called “The Lights of her Life” Paul A. Guerin, Jr. and his wife Julie of Shrewsbury and Nicholas A. Guerin of Spencer, a great-grandson Christopher Patrick Guerin and two great-granddaughters Hannah grace and Elise Riley Guerin. She was pre-deceased by Brothers Arthur S. and Earl E. Gagne and a sister Lorraine M. Johnson Radzinski.

Mrs. Wloch was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur J. and Lucinda (Bougeois) Gonya. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish and was a former CCD teacher and member of the Women’s Guild. She was a member of the South Spencer Community Club, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 138, former treasurer of the New England Country Music Club, former den mother Cub Scout Troop 116, a member of the Spencer Democrat Town Committee and a Title I reading volunteer at West Main Street School. The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadows of Leicester for caring for Lucille like she was part of their family.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Memorial Fund, 60 Maple Street, Spencer, MA 01562. J.
