Barbara Barringer Doherty of Reading, formerly of Wilmington, DE, on September 30, 2013. Passed away peacefully at age 100.
Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Doherty. Loving mother to Joanne Greenlay of Ipswich. Cherished grandmother of David Dietz and wife Laura of Ipswich, Jeffrey Dietz and wife Angela Binda of Reading, Kevin Dietz and wife Leah Finkelstein of Sherman Oaks, CA. Devoted great-grandmother to Madeleine, Duncan, and Gabriel. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
In her last years Barbara was lovingly cared for by the nurses and staff of the Wingate Nursing Home in Reading, and her family is grateful for the care she received. Barbara’s ashes will be interred with those of her late husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
A memorial service is being planned for November.
