Obituary

DaKoka A. “Cookie” Quinn Ramian, 66, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Sunday October 6th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 17 years, Anthony Ramian; son Steven Quinn and fiancée, Heather Bernardone; her daughter Leah Quinn, her husband Glenn and their children, Austin, Kylie and Cameron; her brother Kenneth Hughes and his wife, Terry, and nephews and nieces.
She was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, the daughter of Walter and Pauline Hughes, and moved to the Worcester area in 1968. She had been employed by Norton/St. Gobain for 30 years. Cookie’s name DaKoka is Native American for wildflower, which fit her perfectly, as she loved nature, wildflowers and animals. She was known for her gift of finding four leaf clovers. Her first love was her family and the time spent with them.
Her funeral is Friday, October 11th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Thursday, October 10th from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. in the funeral home.
