Turner William "Billy" Norman, Jr., 70, of Tifton died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Father Lonnie Lacy will officiate with burial to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Civil Air Patrol. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Norman was born on June 25, 1943 in Kingston, North Carolina and was the son of Turner William Norman, Sr. and Marion Norris Norman, both deceased. He retired as president of Norman Motors and was a member of Saint Anne's Episcopal Church in Tifton. He was also a member of the Georgia Air Natoinal Guard and served in Turkey.
Mr. Norman is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Neil Norman and wife Hope of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter Melody Weber of Atlanta; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Everette Ivey of Ty Ty; and two grandchildren, Treva Norman and Liam Norman.
