Mildred V. Gallagher, 89, formerly of Milan Hill Road, Milan, NH passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Berlin on January 16, 1924 the daughter of Albert and Beulah (Mader) Judson and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mildred was a proud homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She cooked many memorable Thanksgiving meals for her family with the best homemade pies! Her hobbies included making braided rugs, furniture refinishing, and pine cone wreaths.
Members of the family include daughters Martha Holt of Milan and Frances Wiswell and husband John of Kingston, WA; two sons Andrew Gallagher and wife Ellen of Onsett, MA, and Leonard Gallagher of Berlin; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings Marion Glover of Enfield, ME, Beulah McKenna of Berlin, Elizabeth Corcoran of Berlin, Bert Judson of Tilton, NH, Mellie Judson of Omaha, NB, Kenneth Judson of Berlin, Harvey Judson of New York, NY; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Edmund Gallagher Sr. and by a son Edmund Gallagher Jr., siblings Stewart, Willie, Franklin, Alex, Eddie, Albert, and Reggie Judson.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 5, 2013 at 2pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 to 2pm prior to the funeral service.
