Obituary

NATICK:
Jacqueline May (Ennis) Fasano age 80, a lifetime resident of Natick, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Jacqueline, known as Jackie, was born February 26, 1933 in Somerville, MA, the daughter of Anthony E. Ennis and Jeanette M. (McIntyre) Ennis. Beloved sister of the late George A. Enos, Russell H. Enos, and Marion (Enos) Heuser, she moved to Natick as a young girl and graduated from Natick High School in 1950.

She married Ralph M. Fasano on July 8, 1956 and then proceeded to have seven children within 10 years. She often said that she wouldn’t stop having children until she had a “pink” one. After six boys, Phaedra finally arrived. She worked many places over the years including the State Department, Washington D.C., Natick Labs, Fabric place; Framingham, Brewster Fire and History Museum; Cape Cod, and Natick High School Guidance department.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ralph Fasano, and seven loving children, Frank of San Bruno, CA, Greg and his wife Jennifer of Las Vegas, NV, Adam and his wife Cindy of Needham, MA, Vince of Trinity, FL, Carl and his wife Joanne of Franklin, MA, Justin and his wife Dianne of Lancaster, MA, and Phaedra Murphy and her husband Brian of Hermosa Beach, CA. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, Anthony, Matteo, Randy, Kayla, Mia, Alexandra, Andrew, Jason, Sephra, Kyra, Julia and Olivia. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Jackie was incredibly proud of her family and often said that her legacy and greatest accomplishment of her life was raising such loving, caring and compassionate children. She truly instilled deep-rooted morals and values in each and every one of them. She took comfort in knowing that those same values would be passed down to her many grandchildren.

Jackie loved all things New England. From her insatiable appetite for antiques, old houses and yard sales, to just meandering the back roads.... she really brought new meaning to the saying: "Not All Who Wander Are Lost". With her it really was about the "journey" and not the "destination".

Jackie was never at a loss for words (understatement?) and was happy to provide her opinion (whether you asked for it or not) but more often than not, her advice made most people realize their potential and believe that they were capable of great things even when other people did not believe in them.

She loved Cape Cod and spent countless summers there as a child until she and Ralph bought a house of their own in Orleans. Never one to leave well enough alone, she actually convinced Ralph to move the house to a better location on the lot. Who does that?... Jackie.
She loved traveling cross-country with Ralph, many times in "HER" purple convertible affectionately dubbed the "Maserati" by her children.

Being the pioneer that she was, Jackie insisted on getting a pontoon boat (typically seen on northern fresh-water lakes) to explore the salt waters of Pleasant Bay. Wow, did she love that boat! These days, you'll see countless numbers of these boats on the bay... You can thank Jackie for leading the way!

Her unique and often colorful vocabulary certainly got your attention and usually left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her repertoire of offbeat sayings and phrases left you smiling and amazed at how fitting they were to most situations.

She loved a good bargain, had a great sense of style, a flair for decorating and an obsession with fabric and wallpaper. She made a bold statement with her taste in clothing and jewelry and her outfits matched her personality well.

She led a full and interesting life and will truly be missed.

Jackie’s funeral service will be held in John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Monday, October 7th at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours Sunday from 3:00-7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jackie’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. For directions, obituary or to send the family a condolence please visit www.everettfuneral.com
