Robert Durkee Langton, 89, of Natick, died September 28, 2013. He was the son of Hartley C. and Muriel (Durkee) Langton, born in Haverhill MA.
He was predeceased by his wife Florence of 48 years in 2001, and his sister Dorothy Donohue in 2008.
Educated in the Natick schools, after graduating in 1942, he joined the U.S. Army Signal Corps in the Pacific operations. Along with several classmates he planned class reunions until recently.
He was employed by Winchell Shoe Mfg. Co. of Natick for thirty years and the Taymor Shoe Co. at the Natick store for 15 years, retiring in 1990.
He is survived by a brother-in–law, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. There will be a private funeral service at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick. No calling hours.
