Rita Jeannette (Pelletier) Albernaz, age 91, passed away October 1st at Southpointe Nursing Center. She was the loving wife of the late Louis Albernaz and daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Paradise) Pelletier. Prior to retirement she worked as a machine operator at Shelburne Mfg for many years. More importantly she was a devoted mother to her 5 children.
Rita was the loving mother of Maureen Kennedy (husband Daniel) of Rochester, Louis J. Albernaz Jr. (wife Elizabeth) of Fall River, Lorraine Camara (partner Barry Faria) of Fall River, Raymond J. Albernaz (wife Lori) of Tiverton and Norman J. Albernaz (wife Elizabeth) of Somerset and sister of Leo A. Pelletier of Fall River. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Henry Pelletier and Bertha Gouveia.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River FRIDAY with extended calling hours from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne’s Church at 11:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
