Armand H. Rochefort, 89, of Pond St. Woonsocket died Thursday September 26, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Ethel J. (Rainville) Rochefort. They were marred on April 13, 1942.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Ovila and Oliva (Desilets) Rochefort. He was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Bellingham for over 34 years before returning to Woonsocket.
Mr. Rochefort served in the Army during WWII.
A cobbler by trade, Armand was the proprietor of Armand’s Shoe Repair on Main St. in Walpole, MA for over 30 years before retiring in 1986.
Armand was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his business and devoted to his family.
In addition to his wife of 71 years he is survived by two sons Robert Rochefort of AZ and Edward Rochefort, and his wife Pauline of Blackstone, a daughter Tina Dalpe, and her husband Dale, of Bellingham, a sister Dolores Aubin of Woonsocket. He was the father- in-law of William Quick and father of the late Ernest Rochefort and Paulette Quick and brother of the late Herve and Lucien Rochefort, Cecile Marks, Claire LaMoore, Jeannette Ciccione, Rita Vadnais, Juliette Rochefort and Pauline LaSalle. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service and burial were private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
