Bridgewater - John E. Keough, 90, of Bridgewater, formerly of Middleboro, died Tuesday at Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home after a short illness. He was the husband of Jane (Bobwicz) Keough.
Born, raised and educated in Middleboro, he was the son of the late John and Winifred (McManus) Keough.
Mr. Keough was a graduate of Middleboro High School and was on the Middleboro Fire Dept.
He was retired from Stetson Shoe Co. in South Weymouth after 17 years of work.
Mr. Keough had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 55 years, coming from Middleboro.
He is survived by two daughters, Martha Thomson of Bridgewater and Susan Keough of Middleboro; a sister, Mildred Crankshaw of Middleboro; his grandson, Jonathan Thomson of Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
