Abington - Mildred M. (Nowe) MacDonald, 88, of Abington died Tuesday at Weymouth Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Harold D. MacDonald.
Born April 2, 1916, in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Daley) Nowe.
Mrs. MacDonald was a homemaker and resided in Abington for many years, coming from Quincy.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, animals and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Perrine of Nashport, Ohio, Paula Bonfiglioli of Bridgewater, Geri Lounge of Whitman, David MacDonald of Raynham, Raymond MacDonald of East Bridgewater, Paul MacDonald of Weymouth and Gene MacDonald of St. Augustine, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Gregory MacDonald.
Her funeral service and burial will be private. Arrangements by Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.
