Robert Cecil Farris

Robert Cecil Farris, 90, long time Anderson resident, died September 28, 2013 at Countryside Meadows Nursing Home in Avon following an extended illness.
He was born on June 12, 1923 in Cumberland Falls, KY the son of Jackson Brown Farris and Alberta (Barton) Farris. He was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School, served in the United States Air Force , and worked as a pipefitter for Delco Remy, retiring in 1987. He was a member of East Side Church of God.
Survivors include 2 children: Gerald R. Farris of Anderson, and Beverly A. Logue ( husband Terry) of Indianapolis. 3 Grandchildren: Stacie, Mike, and Scott Farris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable L. (Southerland) Farris on March 31, 2009. They were married on April 21, 1946 in Lexington, KY.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
