Obituary

East Bridgewater – Elaine F. (Smith) Tamulevich 68, formerly of Whitman, died Monday September 30 after a brief illness.

Born in Brockton in 1945 and raised in Whitman, she was the first born daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Leach) Smith, and a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School, Class of 1963.

For many years Elaine had been a familiar face driving school busses for the Whitman School System and most recently the Weymouth School System.

She enjoyed arts & crafts and loved to travel, having just completed a “cross country” vacation. However, her greatest love was her family.

She is survived by her loving children Paul Tamulevich, Jr. and his wife Renee of Whitman, Robert Tamulevich of Wareham, Tina Govoni and her husband Rego of Maine and Lisa Smith of Maine, her siblings Janet Poskus of Taunton, William Smith of Middleboro and Cynthia Duggan California City, CA. She is also survived by her 8 grandsons and 2 granddaughters as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Jr., James and John Smith.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday October 5 at 3:30PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2-3:30PM. Burial will be held at a later date in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
