Obituary

Helen A. Ford, 91, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30th in her home under the care of JHC Hospice. She leaves many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephews, great grandnieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Ford and Brother Cyprian “Francis” Ford CFX, and three sisters, Agnes L. Hannon, Mary M. Beahn, and Alice E. Kenary.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John M. and Jennie B. (Laverty) Ford and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Miss Ford worked for New England Telephone for many years, retiring as a supervisor. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, and she volunteered at the Sisters of Notre Dame convent and was a longtime supporter of the Xaverian Brothers. Helen was a loving woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and treated her nephews and nieces as if they were her own children.

The funeral is Thursday, October 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A visiting hour is from 8:30 until 9:30 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
