Obituary

Mrs. Lorraine Joan (Boulay) Walsh 84 of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Robert B. Walsh, died Monday September 30th, 2013 at the Atrium in Danvers surrounded by her family.


Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Vital and Antoinette (Beaulieu) Boulay. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

Mrs. Walsh had been employed as a bookkeeper with the former Lynn Gas Company. She was also associated with the former Franklin C. Whitmarsh, Public Accountant as a bookkeeper and was employed at Security National Bank and most recently with the Danvers Public School System as the Accountant for the lunch program at Danvers High School until the time of her retirement.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Lorraine had been a long time resident of the Town of Danvers and was a member of the Welcome Wagon Ladies for many years. She enjoyed dining out and in her later years was a member of the singing group at the Atrium. She loved to knit and travel but family was paramount in her life. Her singing and laughter will be deeply missed by all.

Lorraine is survived by her three daughters, Carol O’Neil of Franklin, Kathryn Walsh-Mambuca of Peabody and Patricia Walsh of Danvers; her two grandchildren, Lauren O'Neil and her fiance Richard Watson, and Erin Jarvis and her husband Craig; her sister, Judith Sherwood and her husband Charles of Cary, N.C. and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Francis O’Neil.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in C.R. Lyons and Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square, Friday at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
