Manchester– Rita M. Abelli, 84, died September 29, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center following a
lengthy illness. She was born in Berlin on April 14, 1929 the daughter of Hilaire and Yvonne Lemieux.
She had worked at Abelli’s Tri Corner store in Berlin that she owned and operated with her husband.
She was a long time parishioner of Ste. Marie Church.
Family members include her husband of 60 years, Arthur A. Abelli of Manchester, her son Thomas
Abelli and son in law Carroll Allin both of Manchester, one daughter, one grandson, Nicholas Abelli of Manchester, one step granddaughter, Katrina Allin of Groveton, five step
greatgranddaughters, two brothers, Leo Lemieux of Portland ME.,
Paul Lemieux of Berlin, two sisters, Simonne Landry of Portland, ME., Marie Roy of Berlin, several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, Alan Abelli, her sister, Jeannette Richer, and her brother, George
Lemieux.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110
Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will follow on Thursday at 12:00 Noon in Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre
Dame Ave.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
