WORCESTER-Harry E. Mandel, Jr., 59, of 1050 Main Street, died Tuesday, September 15th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves a son William J. Mandel of Southbridge, 2 daughters Betty A. McKinnon of S. Grafton and Lisa A. Thompson of Charlton, 2 brothers Bruce L. Mandel of Hemet, CA and Loran E. Mandel of Worcester, a half sister Brenda Mignault of Worcester, 7 grandchildren and his former wife Marion (DiMarzio) Mandel. His daughter Elizabeth A. DanDuran predeceased him and his brother James D. “Happy Jack” Mandel died last week.
He was born in Worcester the son of Harry E. and Ines (Johnson) Mandel. Mr. Mandel had been a cook at Howard Johnson’s in West Boylston, and at one time worked for Pepsi Cola.
The funeral is Friday, September 17th, with a service at Noon in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
