TEWKSBURY - Frances A. (Conforto) Joyce, age 75, died unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, September 28, from an apparent heart attack. She was the beloved wife for forty four years of the late Edward F. Joyce Jr. who died in January 2011.
She was born in Malden, February 7, 1938, a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Conforto and was raised in Malden. She lived in Medford for twenty five years, and had resided in Tewksbury for the past twenty one years.
Mrs. Joyce was a pleasant and caring person. In her earlier years she enjoyed roller skating, dancing, and music. She liked watching “Westerns” and loved horses. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox, eating seafood, and vacationing with her family at the ocean or in the mountains. Her greatest passion was her family, and her children were her world. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen M. Joyce, and her son, Derek J. Joyce, both of Tewksbury; her sister, Mary Swansen of Malden; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, birds and a dog.
She was also sister of the late Joseph Conforto and Pasquale Conforto.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 2, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
